    loading in on home page, but the widget is not present on this page, how can we avoid unnecessary http requests?

  • Unfortunately since these files need to be enqueued before WordPress “knows” whether or not the calendar is on the page, it’s not currently possible to exclude them. We had a deferred loading mechanism in place earlier this year but it was rolled back due to some conflicts with other plugins. This is an open issue that we’re hoping to get sorted out this year.
