• For a while, I had noticed unexpected and undesired functioning in nested or “threaded” comment threads at my site, probably indicating a conflict with WP’s core Reply-Link JS, which places the comment reply box underneath the particularly relevant comment rather than at the bottom of the given thread (normal for non-nested threads). It appears that TinyMCE Visual Comment Editor was the problem. The problems had gotten especially bad after some further customizations of comment thread display and functions.

I suspect there will be a workaround, and, while I’m working on it, I might look into other conflicts affecting the utility of this plug-in whose features I would like to make available to my users, and that I have enjoyed being able to use. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to look at it right now, so am retiring the plug-in, with regret, and will see if some simpler comment-editing tool will work in the meantime.
