Unable to activate Hustle

    Hi!

    On jasperhousesrilanka.com, we are running latest WordPress and all themes/plugins are up to date. We cannot activate Hustle. Error we encounter is:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
    Fatal error: Declaration of Opt_In_Aweber::get_option() must be compatible with that of Opt_In_Provider_Abstract::get_option() in /home1/jasperh3/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popup/inc/providers/opt-in-aweber.php on line 7

    I have tried deactivating all other plugins and the issue persists. We are using the theme “Total” if this offers any insight.

    We have installed and use Hustle on a number of other websites without hassle. Hoping we can get this resolved so we can keep our plugin suite consistent across our sites.

    Hi Sam,

    Sorry to hear you’re having issues with Hustle, I tried replicating this on my installation but I was unable to do so even with Total theme active, is this the one you’re using: https://wordpress.org/themes/total/

    Could you give us some more info about your setup, do you have any other plugins that use Aweber, which WP and PHP version you have on your site?

    Hi Predrag,

    Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve acquired this site so cannot offer much in the way of background info. I can confirm it is running latest version of all plugins, wordpress, themes and is running PHP 5.2.17. I can also confirm that to my knowledge there are no plugins in use that are affiliated with aweber and even when all plugins are deactivated, Hustle still suffers the fatal error.

    Hi Sam,

    The issue here is most likely to outdated PHP version as Hustle requires at least 5.3 to work properly.
    Can you please update your PHP version and let us know if the issue is still there after that?

    Thanks Predrag. I’ve acquired this site from another company so am currently trying to find hosting access so I can update PHP. Will reach out when I have managed to get in and update. Cheers 🙂
