Hi, I’m discovering your excellent plugin. Just Wow !!

I’m working using WP with french as main default language selected which usually includes plugins that support translation, and that are actually translated. For most plugin, this is OK.
But for some plugins like yours, french (or any non english language) this can be a disadvantage.
Your plugin is a powerhouse, and thus, need a frequent visit to KB, which are in english.

Here’s my feature request, which is maybe a bit niche, but it would be nice to have a language selector in WS Form settings to let admins choose their preferred WS Form UI language. It would be easier to relate to official WS Form KB when needed. I suppose there may be some drawbacks related to some strings or messages, but non english devs are used to that anyway.

    Thanks anyway

    Hi @pictogram

    Thanks for your feedback.

If you want to view the admin UI in English you can do so by checking:

WS Form > Settings > Basic > Administration > Disable Translation

    Many thanks

Thanks Mark @westguard for your reply,

Disable Translation setting is already toggled on and WS Form admin UI is still in french.

The only way to have WS Form admin UI in english is to set it Users > Profile.
But then, all WP admin UI is set to english. And that’s not what I’m looking for.
I did try to switch my user profile language to site’s default and to french as well, but no luck.

    Thanks for your support

    Hi @westguard,

Any clue why Disable Translation setting toggled on not working ?

    Thanks for your support.

I tested it here and it worked. You have to refresh after enabling that setting.

I tested French here with translation disabled and it worked as expected. Unfortunately I’m not able to recreate that issue here. I tried LITE and PRO, but perhaps something is happening with the LITE version with your particular site.

The only way we are able to disable the translating is by not loading load_plugin_textdomain, but on the LITE version WordPress might be overriding that and loading it anyway.

I added this feature because I had a few people wanting to use the UI in English. Unfortunately there is no other way I know of that disables the translation. If I remove the translation files I then get people complaining that WS Form is not in their language πŸ™‚
