Hi there, hope you’re doing well.
Unfortunately, there isn’t an option for setting a slider background that appears across all slides.
In Depicter, we currently have Foreground Layers, which means an element can be displayed on every slide. That’s essentially what you’re looking for, but this option isn’t available for slide backgrounds at the moment.
Please give it a try to see whether you can create what you need with this feature or not, and let me know the results

Thanks but not what I’m looking for.
The way it is now you must either choose a solid color, or a different image for every slide. Otherwise, it’s too distracting to have the same image move with the overlayed content for each slide.
I must say I find it strange that having the background fixed while content slides over seems very basic to me. Thanks anyway.

I understand your point, but since each slide is designed to hold different content, Depicter handles backgrounds individually. When you want one fixed background with content sliding on top, it’s usually better to set that background on the page or container instead of inside the slider.
I appreciate the feedback. I have also sent this to our feature requests list, and our team will review it in the future.
