Hello there, we have the problem, that 5 extensions use the same translation file name. Is it possible to create a custom path for each extension to create a folder and put the transfile into the separate folders?

The short answer is yes, you can. The Advanced tab allows you to define custom domain paths. But this will only work if you know exactly what paths should be used.

If you plan to define some sensible folder names of your own and expect Loco Translate to load these custom files individually as needed for each of your five plugins then you’ll be disappointed. The purpose of the bundle configuration is to match the known behaviour of your plugins, not define better behaviour.

Your five plugins are responsible for loading their own translations. How they do that is unknown to me. All I can say is that WordPress convention dictates that every plugin should use one unique text domain. If your plugins go against the grain then you’ll have to know a lot about them in order to get Loco Translate to work nicely with them. Presumably the authors HAVE made their work translatable, so you may have to ask them some questions.

Do the plugins really duplicate the same exact file path, or does one plugin control translations for all five? Maybe the plugins load five separate files with the same name, but from locations unknown to Loco Translate? Maybe something else.

I can’t really provide personal assistance with this, because I did not develop the five plugins you’re using. I can only help you understand how my plugin works, and what it does and doesn’t do.
