Hi @doly77 ,
I hope this message finds you well.
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issue you’re experiencing. Based on your description, it appears that your hosting provider has restrictions on creating a lock file in the tmp directory. However, the plugin will work smoothly.
One of our users encountered a similar issue and resolved it by adjusting the path settings. Here’s how you can try to resolve this:
- Navigate to Settings > Advanced Tab in Post SMTP.
- In the Temporary Directory field, update the path to
'/tmp/' instead of '/tmp'.
- If the issue persists, create a new
tmp folder within your WordPress directory.
- Update the Temporary Directory field to reflect the full path, for example:
/home/.sites/697/site1305605/web/tmp/.
Once updated, the directory should validate correctly.
If the problem continues, share your Site Health Report with us. If you are not comfortable sharing it here you can open a ticket from our website.
Warm regards,

Hello @aqibkhan9
Thank you very much for you answer, it works. I have created a new tmp folder and then updated the Temporary Directory field. Now it is written “valid” in green.
