This plugin saved WordPress

Gutenberg is one of the worst editors I’ve ever seen. I found ten reasons to hate it within two minutes of using it. There are so many neophyte design and usability errors that it truly amazes me that it’s now a part of WordPress.

People embraced WordPress because of its simplicity and power. Compared to other content management systems, it’s relatively easy to do complicated things. Gutenberg is the opposite of that philosophy, it does nothing but slow you down and get in the way.

Thank all the gods, old and new, for this plugin. I’ve based my business on WordPress for the last ten years, but if it wasn’t for this Classic Editor plugin, I’d be out of here. I don’t think there’s anything that could make me continue to use Gutenberg by choice. Installing this plugin is just part of installing WordPress now, and the day it stops working is the day I leave WordPress behind forever.
