Yes, we use the CSS class name field of the block to generate an automatic (and random) CSS class for the extension to work.
The class is only appended if you use the Custom CSS field on that block, and will do no harm to your content even if you someday you decide to remove the plugin.
There’s no other way to target specific blocks without adding a CSS class. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions. 🙂

I just think it’s better to keep this class somewhere inside the plugin/block without bringing it into the interface.
