• Hello,

Recently I was creating a new page on my site, and the default template in use was “Page with Title,” meanwhile older pages created (which are, to my knowledge, using the default but customised template) are using the “Pages” template. There appears to be no way to set the new page to “Pages”, meanwhile the old pages could be changed to “Page with Title”.

What is causing this? Obviously it is an easy fix, but it seems strange.

  • Hey, thanks for reaching out — and sorry for the confusion.

Previously, Theme used the default “Pages” template, but now new pages use the “Page with Title” template by default. However, you can still switch to a different template if you prefer.

For example, on an older page using the default template:

    • Click on the current template name (e.g. “Pages”)
    • A menu will appear
    • Select “Change template” and choose the one you want

Here’s a quick video showing how to do it:

But both templates will stay in the theme, “Page with Title” as the default and “Pages” as a system fallback and presumably if anyone add a custom content type?
