Hey @joxe 👋
here are some technical docs:
But if it might be on hosting level, it might be a mod-sec issue because of POST requests with a application/activity+json Content-Type/Accept header.
Ooops I answered with the wrong account 🫣

Ups! XD
Thanks for the info, as always!
Anyway, for the records, we noticed just yesterday, after weeks of tampering with the hosting security rules, that the problem was caused by a captcha plugin (ALTCHA) that was blocking fedi <> blog communication. I thought the info might be interesting, I imagine Captcha and spam preventing plugins will easily disrupt communication with fedi responses…
Greetings!
Oh, I think I have not read your initial post carefully enough! Have you tried to deactivate the captcha plugin? is it working without?

Nice! And sorry for missing that (very important) detail in the first place 🫣
Happy that it works now 🙂

Hello, I’m still stuck with this, when people replies to my posts on mastodon, those federated answers do not reach the blog comment system. I’m talking with my hosting support and we suspect the problem is related to the hosting security restrictions. They are asking me for more technical detail, but this issues tech level is by far beyond my knowledge.
So I’m guessing if there’s any kind of technical documentation that my hosting tech staff could access to learn more about how the plugin interacts with other fedi servers and what the hosting level security settings should ideally be…
Thanks in advance!
