Hello all, I have been using tablepress for almost a year now and it’s been great. I really loke the application.
Today, I was making some updates to my website (not Tablepress related) and it has disappeared.
One thing that I had done that may have caused the issue was I updated wordpress on the Godaddy website. Since then I went to download another plugin and there was a notice at the top of the page that Tablepress had been removed due to an error. This notice no longer comes up and I did not take a screenshot. I have tried downloading it again but it failed due to the “folder already existing”. I really hope all of my information is still somewhere and not lost!
I do not have much knowledge about WP so I’m hoping this will be an easy fix. Any help will be appreciated!
    Thank you,
    Eric

    ***UPDATE***

I have gone through my site files via ftp and the tablepress folder is there with other folders/content as well. This seems like some good news. I’m sure that if I delete the folder I can reinstall the plugin but what I really need to know is where are my existing tables located so I can simply copy them back without having to recreate everything. Hopefully someone can help be get this back up and running soon.
    Thanks!
    E

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I have no clue what happened here, as TablePress does not just uninstall itself.

Restoring the plugin files should however work here, and your tables should still be fine (as they are stored in the database). So, yes, please delete that wp-content/plugins/tablepress folder via FTP and then re-install TablePress.

After that, you can make a backup of all your tables by exporting them to e.g. the CSV (can be opened with e.g. Excel) and the JSON (best for re-importing into TablePress) formats on the TablePress “Export” screen.

    Regards,
    Tobias
