Would it be possible to describe a bit more the site setup that you are using, as well as the plugins that is handling the language setup on your site? Is it a single or multisite setup etc? The more details, the better.
Can you also elaborate on what were the exact problems faced during translation of the plugin?
You also mentioned “Other plugin on my site (buddypress / buddyboss) requires this setting to work.” so can you also describe what is required by these plugins as I am not sure I understood. Some screenshots of the setting would be helpful along with some clarifications.
So the site setup has following plugins; BuddyBoss, LearnDash, WPML (for translations) and your plugin WP 2FA.
At the moment, users can only use OTP code for logging in.
Heres the WPML setting Im using to handle how the domains work with different languages;
The issue is in setting up or logging in when browsing in secondary language. The 2FA setting page does not translate, but rather keeps trying to redirect user in a loop, when trying to enter the page in secondary language. When trying to log in with secondary language, after entering login details and logging in, it should continue to the page where you enter OTP code, but it keeps redirecting back to the login page.
Is this known issue with the selected WPML setting? I noticed that the “Language name added as a parameter” option would work, but it is not possible in my case, due to the limitation it sets on BuddyBoss plugin.
Thank you for all the details so far, @henryaline!
This looks like a special case with quite a complex setup. We’d like to take a closer look before giving you guidance. Could you please send us an email at support@melapress.com, making sure to reference this support thread?
That way we can investigate further without needing to exchange site-sensitive information here on the forums and also to speed things up.
Looking forward in hearing back from you!
