@darryl1 thanks for raising this ticket and I’m surprised you didn’t get my reply which was sent a few days ago (please check your SPAM/JUNK folder too). At least, we can communicate here. As for the updates, please go to “Dashboard” -> “Updates” and you should see in the plugins list the most recent update for “Asset CleanUp Pro”. Tick the checkbox and click the update button. This has proven to always work as sometimes, there are issues when you click the update link from the “Plugins” page and the update is done via AJAX (no page refresh). Sometimes, it immediately returns “Plugin failed” and it happens once in a while with some hosting environments (don’t know why yet, anyone reading this is welcome to leave me a reply if they had similar issues updating commercial plugins).

I re-checked the email you sent and the problem you’re having is an “Unauthorized” error. This is usually happening when you try to update a license and it wasn’t activated for that website. The most common example is: you used the license on a staging environment, then you did a clone/migration to live. Although in the database, the license stayed as “active” for the live website (after the migration from staging), the system doesn’t know that and what you need to do is deactivate the license on the live website and re-activate it. You’re likely using an older version of Asset CleanUp Pro as the latest one should have notified you about this issue in the “License” page.

    Hi,

yes correct I have an older version I am trying to update. I have tried the above methods but nothing changed. Not sure why I’m not receiving your emails I sent another email via support contact from another email so hopefully I receive your email on that one. I have also explained what I have done in there and also sent the logs as well.
Also I could not activate the key for my website as when I purchased I didn’t receive login details.

    Thanks

    Darryl

    Hi,

do you have a resolution for my issue, or can you email me some login details as I still can’t update the plugin to the latest version.

If you’re getting timeout errors or a message such as “The link you followed has expired.” after you try to activate the license, please follow these steps one after another to make sure the license will be properly marked as active:

Go to https://gabelivan.com/customer-dashboard/, login to your account and then click on “View Licenses” from the “Purchase History” area.
Within the “Purchase History” area, click on “Manage Sites” and under “Use this form to authorize a new site URL for this license. Enter the full site URL.” add the URL to your website:
Finally, click on the button below to mark the license as active on your end. Once that’s done, and you verified that the license key is correct, you will be able to download updates of the plugin from the Dashboard
