style changes after minify enabled?

    Hi everyone

    When I enable minify some of my page displays are all over the place so I will need to further change them to put them back in order, however it will not make any changes no matter what CSS changes I make including

    !important

    .

    I found out where the CSS file the site is using and I tried to change that ie in the wp-content\w3tc\min\ed56a32a.css
    but the thing is it wont save, I then noticed through FTP the permission wont let me change to 777.

    So what is the correct way to making changes to CSS after minify enabled?
