    Like all Frank’s products (Autoptimize et al), WP YouTube Lyte is an expertly coded, thoroughly considered performance enhancing addition to any WordPress site.

    I actually installed the original version of this plugin, but removed it because you needed to use a shortcode for the Youtube embeds.

    Now, the plugin accepts the raw Youtube url, just as the WordPress Oembed does.

    So, it’s a no-brainer to install the plugin, and remove the laggy, saggy baggage that comes with native WordPress/Youtube embeds.

    As always, support is top-notch. These guys do things properly- with passion, expertise and a general motivation to rinse every last bit of performance out of WordPress that’s possible.
