shortcode toolbar stopped working

it’s a new site, not really up yet, but I had to go back to v2.1.0 to get the default floating toolbar to not be shown and for the buttons on my shortcode-sidebar widget to work again. On the later versions the floating one is totally functional, but the sidebar one shows up but clicking the buttons did nothing.

if you visit the page, it is functional now, but future upgrades will break it unless resolved.
