Roles
For Roles to deny to work you need to go to Admin Maintenance -> Access Control and check the box of the role you are trying to deny. Make sure maintenance mode is turned on (Plugin Switch (found in Admin Maintenance -> General Settings)), and anyone without the proper permissions (roles) will see the maintenance page and not the dashboard and/or website.
Background Images or Video
In Admin Maintenance -> General Settings Select Style and select your preference. If you want a video then enter the youtube video id in the input box below. Turn on your maintenance mode and view.
Make sure you are not logged in when you are trying to view or test the maintenance mode plugin.
The Plugin looks promising but has some flaws:
1. even with no restricted user roles, the plugin does not give access to the site – even the admin only sees the lock-out-page.
2. Entering quotes (“) in the text field results in escaped characters (\”) after saving.
matchen @ bro, i missed your support ticket. Now i am happy to reply you. Shane Spinuzzi bro already helped you properly. So i think its more clear now for you. Currently there have no any option to change the image from settings page. But you can change the youtube video for particular template. Just select Yoututbe_Video_Background and put the youtube video ID bellow.
I will add more settings to customize the templates effectively. Just wait for the new version.
