Set Default Date – Date Picker

    Is there a way to set the default date of the date picker to some time in the past?

    I have a form where we need to use the date picker to allow people to tell us the date of birth of their child. But finding the date, by clicking back month-by-month takes a long time and is not very user friendly.

    Is there some way to either allow for navigating by year, or to set a default date that is in the past?
