• Hello, I would like to make a database with all restaurants and pubs that have a beer with pressure. I used Contact Form 7 (Takayuki Miyoshi) so restaurants could fill in there details and send it to me and it will be saved in the database. I also installed Column Based Database Switcher (Arshid) with the CF7ADB database (Arshid). The database connection workes.

I have some categories in the database and I want on my website also a search engine that can search in the database. So if you search on City, I want all restaurants and pubs in that city are showed. If they search on a brand of beer on pressure, I want a list that shows all beers on pressure of the searched brand. …

Could someone help me with a search engine that can search not only on keywords but also on the categories and is compatible with plugins above?

Hope anyone can help me asap.

    Kind regards
    Soevel

I would look at SearchWP. If it’s not too late, I would also make as many custom taxonomies as you can. So you could make one for Cities, one for Brands, etc. Taxonomies make for very fast searches, and automatically make archives for each term (city, brand, etc).

Hi Topher, I just sent you more info on your website. Do you mean SearchWP Modal Search Form to install? Could you explain me more about taxonomies?
I have categories like Pils and underneath there are brands of regular beer like Stella Artois, Buddweiser, …
Is this what you meant to do? Did you received my information?
    Thx Soevel

    Agree with Topher re: SearchWP.
The other player in this space is FacetWP:

You can see it in action based on your description here:

Just making sure that your input form automatically creates a post in the right format, post type and Category.
