screenreader reads something wrongly

    Dear All,

    my Website is nearly finished. Now I was reading through it with the screenreader (NVDA). When I go onto the page “Kontakt” it reads “aktuelle Seite Kontakt” (current page Kontakt) which is correct but adds then “aktuelle Seite Leistungen” which is not correct. Then it goes on to read and everything fine. But why when I am on the page Kontakt the page Leistungen is also marked as current page?

    Please kindly help me.

    Hi Angelika,

    I think I have an idea on where the problem might be. If I take a look of the source code of the contact page, I can see the property – aria-current=”page” – applied both at the “Kontact” item and at the “Leistungen” item in the main menu. So I think thisconfuses the screen reader about the current page. I hope this can help you solve the issue.

    Yes exactly that is the problem! But what I do not understand is….how can I solve it? I did not enter any code I just designed the navigation from WordPress without my own code.

    Hope you can help me on that.
