Hi there,
Do you only have this one site? You don’t have a cloned copy you use for development, or a staging site along with your production site?
Safe mode is enabled when Jetpack thinks there’s a change in your URL, or it sees multiple sites with the same WordPress.com site ID, etc. Does anything like this apply to your site that might be triggering it?
You can find more information on safe mode here:

Thanks Kokkie.
I have only one site. I’ve never created a cloned copy.
It’s frustrating as the issue pops up a couple of times a month. I wonder if it could be DNS related?

Hi there,
I checked and have found two Jetpack connections and blog IDs for this site. It looks like the second connection happened back in April. Maybe there was a backup attempt during this time?
Is that around the time you began having this issue and do you remember disconnecting and reconnecting Jetpack?
Either way, I have fixed the issue on my end. Try disconnecting and reconnecting Jetpack now and let me know if you still have this issue.
Thank you!

Thanks Darnell! I have a feeling you found the issue. I did host the blog elsewhere before moving to another host.
I appreciate your help!

Sorry for the trouble, I got the same message again this morning. Anything else that I can try on my end to try and fix this?
Thanks
Hmm, I think at this point our team might have to take a closer look. Please email support (at) jetpack (dot) com, and include a link to this thread, and we can continue helping there.
