Hi there!
By default, the image displayed to the left of Bushwick’s main content area is set via Appearance > Customize > Header Image. You can select the option to “Randomize suggested headers” in that panel to get a different header image to display each time a visitor loads a page on your site.
Creating a slider will involve more complex coding that goes a bit beyond the scope of support these forums are intended for.
If you’d like to experiment with the code yourself, the first step would be for you to set up a child theme.
The following guides provide a good introduction to child themes, including steps to set one up:
You could then look at the code for other themes that have a slider by default and attempt to replicate it in Bushwick.
Hope the above helps to point you in the right direction!
Thank’s a lot for your answer and helpful pieces of advice but I have to deal with this theme, cause it is determined by client’s requirements.
do you have any suggestions regarding tutorials that can shed some light on my issue?
Thank you in advance!
Sure! You could download other themes that have a slider built-in by default and take a look at their code. Here are some examples of themes that have a slider built-in:
I also found the following tutorial for creating a slider with the aid of the Slick plugin:
Hope those resources help you out!
