Replace http with https issue

    Hello, I try to use your Find and Replace utility and replace http by https.

    BUT all https where replaced with httpss !!! So I must now replace all httpss by https again !

    Is there an issue, please ? Or do I need to specify my text to be replaced with quotes like that “http” and “https” or simple quote ‘ ? Tell me please ..

    WP Migrate Support Team here. Thanks for reaching out with your query! We would be happy to assist.

    If you searched for the keyword http only, it would also match links that already use https, which can lead to the extra “s” being added.

    If you have a backup from before the find and replace operation, please restore that first. Otherwise, you can search for httpss and replace it back with https to fix the affected links.

    For the next find and replace, please use http: as the search term and https: as the replacement. That way, only plain HTTP links are updated, and existing HTTPS links are skipped. Please be sure to create another backup first to be safe.

    No need to use quotes in the Find or Replace fields. Just be sure to include the colon to make it an exact match.
