Remove the banner box

In the frontpage static banner area (where you put in your main title, subtitle, etc), the whole thing is surrounded by a white box.

I’d like to have no title, no subtitle, no button, etc. but when I leave all of the areas blank (to hide them) the white box remains.

I tried adding .frontpage-banner > .container {
display: none;
}

But that didn’t work. 🙁

Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the white box in the static banner? I’d like to have only an image up there.
