    Hi there,

I am finding an issue with certain types of redirections not working on RankMath; i set them up but it’s like the redirection hasn’t been created at all.

I tried to recreate the tables and deleting the cache as found on your site but this hasn’t solved the issue (though i’m not sure it’s the right cache plugin under divi theme options); could you advice what other actions i may take to solve this?

    Many thanks

    Hello @rankmathsupport,

Thanks for getting back to me!

Here‘s the rule i created; the page result is a 404 error despite that, as if the rule never existed.

I have the same issue with other redirections, but others do work fine; could you advice ?

    Many thanks

    Hello @fixasb,

Please make sure that the redirection table is actually created. You can check that in Rank Math → Status & Tools → System Status and expand “Rank Math”. You can also copy the system information from that page and share it here with us.

If you want, our tech support team can help with this further. Please follow this guide to create a new ticket and share your WP admin login in the Sensitive Data section: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/attention-read-this-before-posting/

Thanks for your reply, the redirection table does look to be created, see system status rank math report here. Not sure if it’s normal that Google rights have not been granted to the Search Console.

If you can share your email adress, i can provide a temporary link for your support team to access the site; let me know how you’d like to proceed.

    Many thanks

    Hello @fixasb,

It’s important to note one thing when using a translation plugin and that is the fact that the language prefix is usually handled by the translation plugin so you should not add those to the redirections on the website as the redirection is triggered later than the one from the translation plugins so the plugin essentially believes that is not the correct URL.

Please remove the language prefix en from the source URL to fix the issue.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello there,

I get back to you on this issue as there really seems to be a compatibility issue with both translatepress and WooCommerce using rank math redirection rules, at least the way I’m setting up the rules.

Please note the issue only occurs on translated product pages which use TranslatePress and WooCommerce plugins.

If i omit the language prefix as you suggest above, the rule may be working, however search engines don’t recognize the link and they will still redirect to a 404 error.

Indeed, the redirection for WooCommerce products will only work if the FROM url excludes the root folder, and the TO url is followed by the full structure; so, if i want to redirect

    https://fixator.fr/es/producto/cabrestantes-e-lift-350-501-601/

    to

    https://fixator.fr/es/producto/cabrestante-electrico-de-elevacion-e-lift-350-500-600-kg-220v-y-380v/

I should set them up this way so that the rule appears to be working on rank math:

    /cabrestantes-e-lift-350-501-601

    to

    /es/producto/cabrestante-electrico-de-elevacion-e-lift-350-500-600-kg-220v-y-380v/

However, search engines, which have indexed the first link above, will still redirect to a 404 error.

Is there another way to make this work because clearly neither of these are the right ways to set up redirections.

    Many thanks
