@lilap – Most standard server environment settings by default would be fine, can you share the ones you are currently using on your site (look under Gallery > Overview | Site Details)?
Thanks!

@lilap – Those environment settings look fine. Are you seeing any entries in your server’s error_log files?

Hi Cais,
I will be looking into the error_logs when I scan a new folder. There are no errors that I can see, would it be linked to “PHP Max Script Execute Time : 30s” should I increase this?

@lilap – That might be part of the issue, I would suggest at least a value of 60 seconds although you may need to work with your web hosting service to ensure you get the most correct value.
Thanks!

Hello Cais,
I have tried and tested by increasing the Execute time to 600s to make sure if it is.
Still getting 504 errors upon scanning folders. No errors on log files, or php logs. Do you have any other suggestion?
Also will you consider adding .mp4 files as an acceptable file to me managed in NGG? Just to add to the gallery just like GIFs, and our lightboxes will do the rest like load the .mp4 file?
