When I save my progress with Elementor, my read more button does not stop the text and place a read more button. It disregards the placement entirely and shows the whole context. If I go back to WordPress and save my progress, the read more function works but my Elementor progress goes away. I am using Ashe Pro theme

I do not have experience with the Ashe Pro theme, but I can tell it has lots of features for blog layout. I suppose you need to change some theme settings to achieve the excerpt and “read more” button?

You did check the excerp instead of “full text” in WordPress> settings> read?
