My account is currently linked to SHOP.samurai-armor.com and I want to re-link it to the primary domain http://www.samurai-armor.com. To do this I understand I need to unlink the shop subdomain and then link it to the primary domain. Easy enough. However, my concern that wasn’t addressed in the FAQ, is will I lose my current reviews? I am worried that re-linking can or will set my ratings for the “new site” down to zero along with the products as they are new product links. Do I need to set up permanent redirects?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

    Thanks for using CusRev.

The verified reviews on cusrev.com are associated with one domain only. If you use a new site with new product IDs, the reviews on cusrev.com won’t be linked to the new products on your new site.

If you want to import reviews to the new site, please follow this solution

Thank you. To be specific and clear, the domain / site is remaining the same, only the subdomain will change to the primary domain. The product IDs will stay the same, only the html link will change. I am worried the reviews will be lost in the transition due to the change of the subdomain. The instructions and video to not cover this concern, so can you please address it? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for getting back to us.

Could you please clarify if you are publishing your reviews on CusRev.com or only locally on your website?

We will want to do the same as we are now. Publishing the review trust badge on our site with the star rating with maybe posting some recent reviews and then of course linking directly to CusRev.com for the client to see the third party website confirming what we are displaying on our website.

We want to make certain that we can still post the same historical feedback and rating from the shop.samurai-armor.com page to the new primary domain, http://www.samurai-armor.com

    Hi,

    Thanks for your additional information.

If you keep the same data (product, order IDs) and just update the site domain, we can help you move reviews from shop.samurai-armor.com to samurai-armor.com on cusrev.com. You need to make a redirection from the old to the new domain and then let me know.

Ok, great. Thank you. Right now http://www.samurai-armor.com is set up. We are just undergoing final reviews and updates for the new VPS, with hopes it will be completed soon.

Would the next step be disconnecting from shop.samurai-armor.com and then connecting http://www.samurai-armor.com then message you, or message you first for you to start the process on your end first?

We haven’t heard from you for more than two weeks. For this reason, I’ll assume that either you are not interested in this question/problem anymore or it has been resolved. If you still require any help, please start a new forum topic.
