Push Notifications For Private Messages

    I have set up a group wall with the view to using this as a communication area for staff. A number of the group members have requested the option to be sent an email or push notification that they have a message waiting.

    Whilst there are emails for account changes from admin, there doesn’t appear to be the option to email a daily digest, or notification of new message outside of logging into the site & refreshing the page. Have I missed something?

    Hello @teachallaboutit,

    Thank you for writing to us.

    You can use Private Messages area for communication between members. In profile page under Messages tab you can send the private messages to other members. Once you send the message they will get the notifications for unread messages in their profile. You can also enable emails for unread messages by referring to the following steps:

    1) Login to WordPress dashboard. Go to “ProfileGrid >>Global Settings >>Private Messaging” menu.
    2) Here enable the option “Enable Unread Message Notification” and configure the email content and save it.

    If you are using Group wall and any member of a group submits the wall post then, other users of that group will get the notifications in their profile for the post. Currently ProfileGrid does not have the feature to send an email on wall post submission.
