Protect uploaded media

Hey Brad, very cool plugin – thankyou!
I noticed this doesn’t work out of the box with Media Vault – that I want to use to protect certain uploaded documents.
Is there a way to stop certain uploads being sent to the CDN, so that Media Vault can work its magic on them, or will I need to code my own custom hook for uploads?
