Problems with WordPress updates/plugins

    Hi there,

    I manage WordPress websites for others and as of today, I have problems to update any site/plugin with the latest updates. It is just loading, loading, loading and loading, but nothing happens. It seems, that the connection to the update-server do not work correctly anymore.

    Is anyone else having this problem today? I noticed someone else on Twitter, who said that https://downloads.wordpress.org/ shows an error. Well, I don’t know if that is connected, since I usually don’t go to that page.

    The problem in detail:
    1.) I log in to a wordpress admin dashboard.
    2.) I see, that there is an update of one of the plugins available, so I click on updates.
    3.) The server tries to open a connection and it tries that for ages until I am presented an error that shows a timed out connection.

    So if any of you know any help to get rid of these time outs on our side, your help is pretty much appreciated.

    I can’t reproduce that. I just successfully updated several plugins. It might be “one of those internet things” — so try again in a little while.

    Thanks for trying, Steven.

    I tried that for the last 4h+ and I tried to find the sources of the error. But I couldn’t find anything. Now everything is working well again. Let’s hope it stays like this.
