Yesterday I tried to edit a post on my website in the block editor and the performance was terrible. WP Site Health says “Page cache is detected but the server response time is still slow... Median server response time was 2,597 milliseconds. There were 2 client caching response headers detected: cache-control, expires.”

I looked thru my plugin files, and Anti-Spam was 1 of 3 plugins using those 2 functions, and it had the most recent update of Sep-8-2025 (I did not have this problem before that date). Is it possible Anti-Spam is triggering this page caching issue?

I am asking you guys first because you provide such excellent support. 🙂
    thank you, -mj

  • Hello @prmyapps,

We haven’t had widespread reports of page cache issues, but to be sure, we’d like to check your specific case.

Please open a private ticket here: https://cleantalk.org/my/support/open and attach your debug/error logs if possible. With those details we’ll review everything closely and confirm whether the Anti-Spam update is involved.

my problem is solved, thanks to CleanTalk suggestions. I knew 3 of my 6 plugins used the cache-control function. I deactivated all my plugins one-by-one and then reactivated them one-by-one: CleanTalk, then SEO, then tablepress. After reactivating tablepress, my Site Health returned to normal.

CleanTalk has provided excellent support every time I’ve had a problem or question. I used to be a software developer, and these guys are top notch in quality and detail.
