Popular Posts widget images blurry

The images generated by the popular posts widget aren’t that sharp in my sidebar. The related posts below content has option to set thumbnail image size to Full and looks great, however popular posts only has Medium. Is there a way to fix this or can it be included in next update. Love the plugin!
