[Plugin: WordPress HTTPS (SSL)] Shared SSL Permalink structure

I will be using this plugin with a Shared SSL. For the Permalink structure, can I use the “Post Name” format (http://domain.com/sample-post/), or do I have to use the Default URL structure (http://domain.com/?p=123) to ensure compatibility? Thanks.
