I know to retain changes you’ve made to your theme, you need to create a child theme and make your changes there. Is there a similar method for plugins, in particular WooCommerce?

Somewhere I found info saying that I could modify meta.php, which I’ve done so that instead of “SKU:” the user sees “Inventory ID”. The problem is that when an update comes along, and there seem to be plenty of them, it overwrites that file and I have to go back and change it again. Is there a place where I can store a custom meta.php? Or would that even be recommended in case there are changes to that file in the update?

    Thanks in advance!
