I have a message “WooCommerce Eway Gateway has been automatically updated” on my admin that won’t go away. When I hit the dismiss button it goes to the dashboard page. I had the same thing happen on a 2nd website which I was able to fix by going to wc_admin_notes and changing the notification status to “actioned”. On my main website, however, I am unable to find any Eway notification in the wc_admin_notes folder, but the notice still persists.

  • Hello,

I understand that the notification WooCommerce Eway Gateway has been automatically updated is not going away.

May I ask can you temporarily switch your site theme to Storefront, and then disable all plugins except WooCommerce and Eway? Then try again to disable the notice to see if it goes away.

You can use the Meks Quick Plugin Disabler this plugin will remember what plugins you currently have active, so it’s easy to switch them back on.

The Meks plugin dissabeled woocommerce so I could not access the page with the update notice. I enabled woocommerce and tried to dismiss the notice but it did not work.

    Hi,

    I understand your point.

You can find these notifications in the wp_wc_admin_notes table of your database. As a workaround, you can try to change their value to “actioned”.

You can press Ctrl + F to search for one of the keywords in the messages received. Also, your web-host might help you with this. I attach a screenshot example for reference:

    I hope this helps.

As I mentioned in my original post, this workaround worked for my 2nd website but for my main website the table does not exist! There is no message from Eway at all regarding the update or any other message at all from Eway in the wp_wc_admin_notes database.

    Hello @chrissk,

It’s possible that your database is paginating the tables. If you’re using phpMyAdmin, be sure to check the “Show All” box.

This will ensure that you’re able to view all of the data in the table.

Your hosting provider might be able to assist you with this.

Let us know how it goes!

Problem fixed! I clicked on “show all” and I was able to find the message. Thank you very much!
