    Hi,

i have compatibility problems with two installed plugins that i use:
    – Quick Featured Images by Kybernetik Services
    – WP Download Manager by W3 Eden

    1) in Quick Featured Image i create a rule that set an preset featured image for all created post with no featured img added.
With your plugin, if an user upload an image as featured image, Quick Featured Image doesn’t recognize it ad overried it.
If i deactive Quick Featured Image user uploaded image with your plugin is setted with no problem.
i do not have this problem with other frontend publishing plugins

    2) i use WP Download Manager with TinyMce Button addon (https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-tinymce-button/ ) to quick add file download during post writing .
The problem is that this button is visible to frontend user and they can see category structure. They can’t do nothing more (insert file or upload file) but is possibile to hide the button in your post editor?

    Thanks, Carlo.

    Glad to help:

    1) Not sure what is happening, but if you can get the specific requirements to make compatible with Quick Featured Image, I will take a look and try to implement in a future update.

    2) I’m not familiar with that plugin, but you might want to ask the developers if they know of a way to disable their buttons or whatever on the RTE/Visual Editor. They will know best what is required, etc.

I hope this helps, let me know if I can provide any further infos.

    Hi,

    1) if you try to use the plugin “Quick Featured Image” and create a rule that “set a featured image for every post that has not a featured image” you will see that the featured image uploaded with your plugin will be overried. This not happend with other frontend posting plugins ( for example now i’m trying “WP User Frontend” plugin : if a user upload a featured image this will be the post’s featured image, if user doesn’t upload image “Quick Featured Image” plugin set the preset one that i set ).

    2) i solved the problem in your plugin removing Rich textarea option. But doing so the user has no option to text formatting. In “WP User Frontend” plugin there are 3 textarea options:
    – Normal (with no formatting option as you)
    – Rich textarea (where i have the WP Download Manager button problem as with yours)
    – Teeny Rich textarea

With “Teeny Rich textarea” i solve the problem: user has minimum formatting options and there are no third party plugins buttons

I hope to be useful. I think yours is a good plugin because simple and powerful at same time, but without these mods is not for me. 😉

    Bye, Carlo

Thanks I will take a look and see if there is a way to make compatible. In the meantime, you may just want to use whatever other plugin is working with your particular setup. Thanks again and good luck.
