Plugin causes RSS feed validation to fail

    I was trying to connect the WP blog to push posts to emails via MailChimp.
    MC said
    ” URL.com/feed/ is not a valid RSS feed.”
    I deactivated all plugins and reactivated them one by one, testing each time with http://validator.w3.org/feed/.
    I narrowed it down to StopBadBots and deactivated it.

    Here is the error it gave:

    Sorry
    This feed does not validate.

    line 1, column 0: XML parsing error: <unknown>:1:0: no element found [help]

    In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendation.

    Feeds should not be served with the “text/html” media type [help]

    I have the latest version of WP/plugin running on SiteGround with a Genesis child theme. So not sure what is causing it.
