Just created a new site on my WordPress build. The “Customize” tab at the top was non-functioning, until I disabled the Connections Plugin. This issue only occurs on new sites I recently created. Any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this. Should I consider upgrading to PHP 8? Thanks!

Sorry to hear you are having trouble!

Could you please provide more details on what you mean by “breaks customize” and “The “Customize” tab at the top was non-functioning”?

The description of the “Customize tab” seems to indicate a non-core WordPress feature … is this a theme-specific feature? Have you tried switching to the default WordPress theme to see if the issue persists?

I believe it actually is a core WordPress function. When logged in, there is a “Customize” tab at the very top of the page, where the basic site settings can be adjusted. Does not load properly until I disable Connections. Is there any way I can send a couple screenshots or video?

Here are a few ways you can share that screenshot with me:

    • Upload the screen shot to a third party service like Snag.gy, Droplr or CloudApp or LightShot and then share the image link from that service with support
