Hi, we are looking into using BNFW with the plain text formatting option enabled. While testing we noticed that BNFW sends any html in the content even with this option enabled, which is a bit of an issue for us. BNFW seems to only set the content type of the mail to text/plain. Would it be possible to convert the text to formatted plain text before sending the mail? Otherwise, are there any hooks available in BNFW we could use the modify the notification before sending?

Thanks for reporting this – you’re good at finding bugs!

I will be looking into this but in the meantime, have you looked at the bnfw_notification_message filter?

Hi, just reopening to ask if you had a chance to look into adding this (conversion to plain text) to BNFW. That would be our preferred option.

No news as yet but it´s on my todo list.

Did you take a look at the filter I suggested too?

Hi, thank you for the update.

We had a look at the bnfw_notification_message filter, but it looks like it is not used for all notifications. There are other ways to filter the notifications, but we think the cleanest solution is if BNFW converts the text to plain text.
