Hi @muhammadbey,
I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter issues like this.
To get a better understanding of the problem, could you share how your PayPal integration is set up? Are you using the configuration provided by your theme, or is it managed through a third-party plugin and which plugin is it? Also, could you provide the steps to reproduce the issue on your site? That way, I can better understand what you’re experiencing.
hello
here are some screen shots to help you understand the status of things, i am working with stripe , woo commerce and paypal, stripe is the default service.

steps i take to do test sales.I log in to the platform as a test buyer
i select a service to purchase, stripe is in test mode, paypal in sandbox mode, at least it should be.
i select the service and go to the payment page, choose a payment method and use a fake credit card to make a test/fake purchase, the purchase should go through if all the settings are correct!
let me know if you need any more details . thanks
Hi there!
Thank you for sharing the complete details about the issue. Just to verify, have you tried placing an order using the default payment method, such as Cash on Delivery? If you use Stripe as the payment method, do you still face the same issue?
I understand that you are not selling physical products, but I just want to confirm whether the Cash on Delivery payment method works or not.
If it works, I would suggest you reach out to the PayPal plugin support team and ask them to help you resolve the issue.
Please note that we only provide support for WooCommerce core features. Issues related to functionality (e.g., payment methods) added through third-party plugins are not supported by us.
If you still face the same issue with the Cash on Delivery method, please let us know so we can further investigate.
Thank you!
HELLO
Thanks for reaching out to me. I have not tried cash on delivery, since the products are mostly digital.
If you can help me confirm that woo commerce is working, that would be a big help. thanks
Hi @muhammadbey ,
Thanks for the update!
Thanks for reaching out to me. I have not tried cash on delivery, since the products are mostly digital.
It looks like you were advised to try using Cash on Delivery. This is to check whether the core payment settings are working correctly as expected. It will help determine if the issue occurs regardless of the payment method or if it’s specific to a particular payment gateway.
From what I can see, your PayPal API and secret key are set up through your Theme Options. However, based on your screenshot, it looks like you’re also using a plugin to handle PayPal payments.
Just to clarify—are you entering the API credentials in your theme’s PayPal settings or in the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin settings?
If you’ve added them to the theme options, I’d recommend setting them up directly in the plugin settings instead. That tends to work more reliably. You can follow this guide to set up and test payments in sandbox mode: WooCommerce PayPal Payments – Testing in Sandbox.
Also, an inactive or incorrect API key could be causing the issue. If that’s the case, try generating a new API key and test again using the plugin settings as outlined in the guide.
Let me know how it goes!
hello
Thanks for getting back to me.
i will run additional test on cash payments and let you know the results, the api secret and public codes are installed in the dash board and plugins are being used, i am trying to have everything run through stripe to keep complications to a minimal. in the dash broad image you can see that Paypal is NOT setup, as i am still working through the sand box phase, this is beginning to feel like a chicken and egg situation, i should not activate paypay in this woo commerce / paypal set up until i am sure it will work. I need more direct guidance on how to link to test account to the payment engines settings.
I have been to the woo commerce link below as instructed and done what i can, this is the last stage of the sites setup . here are links to new images for you to see what i am doing .

Please advise.

Hello muhammadbey,
Thank you for your reply.
To better understand the problem, could you clarify a few things?
You mentioned that the PayPal method isn’t set up, could you clarify which setup steps are still pending? While I know you’re using Sandbox mode for now, I recommend completing the remaining setup steps.
From the screenshot, it looks like the payment settings appear in the theme settings. Is your theme providing a separate payment method, or is it integrating with Stripe and PayPal plugins?
To troubleshoot further, please share your site’s System Status Report. You can paste it into https://pastebin.com and share the link here.
Lastly, I recommend disabling all non-essential plugins to help isolate the issue.
Best regards.

I have paypal , woo commerce and stripe plugin , though i have been trying to set up PayPal and woo , i think they are supposed to work through stripe, which is what i wanted and hoped for , but if that is not possible, I still want the buyer to have the option to click on one of the boxes to chose a payment gateway , either woo, PayPal or stripe at the close of the sale, as long as the gateways work , it will not mater to me. i will disable as many plugins as i feel safe, for now , until i hear from you. thanks
Hi @muhammadbey,
Your Felan theme appears to have built-in support for Stripe and PayPal payments. I recommend reaching out to their support team to confirm whether third-party payment plugins can be integrated while maintaining the theme’s existing features.
Since your theme seems to be handling payment integration and processing, the best course of action would be to contact Felan support through the platform where you purchased the theme for guidance on resolving this issue since the theme already modified the checkout process.
i spoke with felan about stripe, but i will reach out to them about this matter as well, I am also waiting to hear from Zubair Zahid (woo-hc) about our recent conversation.
Hello muhammadbey,
Thank you for your reply.
I understand you want to offer multiple payment options, including Stripe, PayPal, and WooPayments.
PayPal and Stripe are separate payment processors, while WooPayments relies on Stripe for processing transactions.
Currently, your Felan theme includes its own payment integration. Please update me once you receive a response from their support.
For Stripe, you’re using the “Payment Plugins for Stripe WooCommerce” plugin. Additionally, you have WooPayments and WooCommerce PayPal Payments active.
To resolve any conflicts, activate each payment method one at a time. Start with the Felan theme’s built-in payment integration while disabling WooPayments and WooCommerce PayPal Payments. Once that’s set up, enable WooPayments, followed by WooCommerce PayPal Payments.
This step-by-step approach will help prevent integration conflicts.
Looking forward to your response. 🙂
ok, i will be in touch
