• Hi, I’ve got my site part built but while all the navigation appears to be fine (menus work and permalinks seem OK) while editing and previewing (logged into the WP admin console) once I log out of it the page defaults back to my ‘Testimonials’ page every time.

Accessing the site from other devices also sends me to the testimonials page on each one and via four different browsers. I’m baffled! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Are you using any caching plugins?

Hi Steve, thanks for the reply. Not as far as I know, I haven’t intentionally done so, just those such as WooCommerce, Slider Revolution, Yoast SEO, Really Simple SSL…

Check with your host to see if they’re doing anything at the server level.

I did speak to them (123-Reg) as I was having issues with a recently added SSL certificate, which isn’t fully resolved either. The automatic redirect from www. / http:// to https: doesn’t work 100% and I wasn’t sure if the problems were related. They assured me all was fine at their end and that the cert was installed and going straight to the https URL shows a green padlock in Opera and Firefox but not on the http://www.for Firefox. Would you think this is related?

Probably not. If you can see it when logged in but not when not logged in, it says that they’re not caching for logged in users *and* they’re not clearing the cache when new content is added or updated.

The cache being the one on the host’s server? I think I understand. OK I’ll contact them again and see what they have to say. Thanks for your help, much appreciated!

this may be a dumb suggestion, but did you check your ‘Reading’ settings to see what page your homepage is set to?

Yep it’s set to my homepage. I changed it to a different page and then back again in the hope it would ‘flush something out’ so to speak but the problem stays the same no matter which page I choose for the homepage. Can’t shift that ‘testimonials’ page! But thanks.
