• Is there a way that the message that is currently on the Big Commerce side of things when a product is out of stock display the same way utilizing the BigCommerce Plugin on a WordPress website?

The message that displays on the BigCommerce site is…

“Sorry but this item is currently unavailable.”

“Please check back at a later stage.”

Currently on the WordPress website the “Add to Cart” button does not display but there is no error message to explain why that is.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

There’s a way to fix this yourself, but I agree having it in core would be cool. You can make a feature request on the BigCommerce Github repo. Google for “github bigcommerce for wordpress”.

To fix it yourself you would need to edit your templates. Google for “How to Override Template Files in BigCommerce for WordPress” and there’s a doc on how to do that.

There’s already a conditional in there testing for out of stock, that’s why the button doesn’t work. So you’d simply need to put in the text you want in addition.
