    Hi,

    I use your gallery for presentation of high resolution, high quality astrophotography images:

    Total size: 229.01 MB: Heavy images negatively affect your website loading time and user experience. Optimize images to get better performance.

    What will happen, when I click on “Optimize Now”. I don’t want all images to be downsampled, only compressed without visible quality loss!

    Hi @radinkel, Nik from 10Web here — thanks for your question!

    When you click “Optimise Now”, the images are compressed in a way that keeps quality loss to a minimum — there’s no downsampling, and the goal is to keep them looking the same.

    However, since the process is irreversible, we strongly recommend backing up your site or the original images beforehand, just to be safe.
