open_basedir issue

    Hello, I’m using latest version of Download Monitor. Now if I make new download in my WP admin and I click “Publish” it show some PHP errors like Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect…. (see attached screenshot – https://ibb.co/K9y7BDG).

    It affects only new download. The old ones on my website work correctly.
    PHP version is 8.0.17.

    Edit: same problem on my another website https://www.zskratka.cz 🙁 try this: https://www.zskratka.cz/download/18423/

    Hello @janrichter,

    Thanks for reaching out!
    I went ahead and opened a ticket regarding this.
    You can follow the ticket here: https://github.com/WPChill/download-monitor/issues/890
    Please keep in mind that it’s just a warning and it shouldn’t affect your site.

    You can turn debug back to false and you will no longer see that warning. To do this please go to this file wp_config.php and switch from define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true ); to define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false ); > save the file.

    Thank you @mplusb but WP_DEBUG doesn’t change anything. Problem is that download doesn’t work. I’ll try to follow the ticket on github.

    Can you please go to your dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info > Directories and Sizes > and send us a screenshot with that information?
