    Hi there,

I have been working on a customisable WordPress theme for the past 5 months, Though there are still some fixes left for final release, i have been thinking for a while will it be a good idea to release it as a open source theme ! or does it sound awkward when the theme itself is kind of plugin with page builders and other stuffs. WP.org don’t accept those kind of themes in the repo. i would also like to know any successful OpenSourse WP theme projects with page builders.

P.S The Page builder that i developed is shortcode less , except for some external integration like sliders etc.

For many good reasons too. 😉

    Please, not here.

These are support forums and that means if you need help on WordPress (and that can be code, settings or how it works) or with a theme (as long as it’s GPL’ed) or a plugin (ditto re the GPL thing) then you are in the right place.

You’re not asking about that. You’re asking for people to opine and provide examples of “successful OpenSourse WP theme projects with page builders”. That’s a fine topic! But not here. I suggest you consider asking on one of the many social networks out there such as (but not limited to) Reddit or Advanced WordPress.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/
    https://www.facebook.com/groups/advancedwp/

I am not a moderator in those places and I have no idea if they allow topics like this there. But unless you need support on WordPress or one of the related add-ons then please take this somewhere else.
