    Hello,
I am working with WordPress 6.1 and MapPress 2.84.9.
The site language is set to Polish (pl_PL). I have found traces of polish translation of the plugin in the internet so I guess that it has already been done. (for example: http://www.bedroomswest.com/wp-content/plugins/mappress-google-maps-for-wordpress/languages/)
However, the plugin is not translated. The most crucial thing to me is the fact that I get the “Get Directions” link in the marker description instead of translated one – the page should be completely in Polish.
Are the translations available only in Pro version?
If not, shouldn’t I see the translation files in the plugin folder (wp-content/plugins/mappress-google-maps-for-wordpress/languages)? For now I only have the base .pot file but no any other translations in that directory.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

I removed some of the translations because they were very old and out of date. I’ll add back pl_PL for the next release.

If you’d like to provide a better translation, I’m sure many users would appreciate it.
The best place to translate is here (I think there is already a partial translation, but it hasn’t yet hit the “90%” threshold to release it).

Thank you, I’ll do my best translating as much as I can in my spare time. 🙂

I did my best translating the stable branch. Should I translate the stable readme too?

    Hi,

I’m sorry, I don’t really know very much about how the translation stuff works. I think they like having the readme done too, but I’d definitely skip doing all the changelog entries.

I keep translating in the WordPress system, however I think it will take some time to get the translations done and verified.
As a solution for now I decided to translate the plugin using Loco Translate.
I provide the translation files (.po and .mo) for complete Polish translation of the current version (I cannot add files here so I placed them on wetransfer):

I hope you will find these useful and you will be able to add them to further releases.
    Best regards!

    Hi,

Thank you! I’ll add the local files for now, and when WP is ready to release the translation let me know and we can switch to that one.
