    Not sure, normally the plugin works great. The first thing I would recommend is to go thru the “Testing” section of the Installation page:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/blackhole-bad-bots/installation/

    That may provide some clues as to what could be happening in your case.

    Teh software seems to have problems with the whois function.

    Timed-out connecting to whois.arin.net (port 43).

    The plugin is functioning well.

    Alright thanks for the feedback, will investigate for the next update. May end up switching out the whois service with something better if possible.
