I saw your post regarding your plugin and caching. I hope you don’t mind my questions.

Are you speaking about caching on the server, only, or would that prohibition apply to a CDN as well?

Also, can you describe the problems caching can cause. It would help me make a decision about whether the degradation in site performance due to the lack of caching is justified in order to use this plugin. Thanks.

    Glad to help.

Basically there are many caching plugins and scripts and I don’t have time to keep tabs on all of them. Even though some currently may work fine with Blackhole, future changes could break things. So official policy is “no cache” when it comes to Blackhole for Bad Bots. No caching of any kind. No cache plugin. No cache script on server. Anything that prevents PHP and/or WP from working dynamically on each page load is going to break how the plugin works.

I hope that helps clarify things, let me know if I can provide any further information, thank you.

Thank you for your quick response. We’ll adjust things to comply with no cache and see what happens.
